About Relief
Start by Making a Commitment to Feeling Better!
From Dr. Pete and Dr. Stu
Commit to Better Health!
Do not procrastinate, start by creating healthy habits. Call and make an appointment with either Dr. Pete or Dr. Stu to review your Chiropractic
Health.
Practice Good Posture!
Become aware of your posture. Reduce the strain on your neck and shoulders by using a hands free device for long telephone conversations rather
than “crooking” the telephone between your chin and neck. Use a stool to raise on leg during prolonged sitting.
Practice Good Lifting and Work Habits.
Avoid extreme bending or working over your head for prolonged periods of times. Lift heavy items using your legs, bending at the knees and keeping
objects close to the body. Remember you are Clark Kent not Superman! Ask for help!
Increase Your Activity
Research show that too much bed rest and a sedentary lifestyle actually slows the recovery process. We don’t recommend the New York Marathon,
however low impact
Aerobic exercise, some time on a treadmill or swimming is a great start on a healthy back.
Get Enough Sleep
Make sure your mattress provides adequate support. Sleep on your back or side instead of your back. Remember to use a pillow to support the curve
of your neck.
Nourish your Body
Eat nutritious foods so your body has the proper raw materials to heal. Drink plenty of water, avoid tobacco, caffeine and carbonated beverages.
Give yourself time to heal
Healing is a process, which takes time, our lifestyle, age, condition and willingness to participate and follow our instruction and recommendations all
effect the pace of your recovery. Rome was not built in a day!
Keep a Positive Attitude!
